The plans have been finalized.  October 8 (next week Thursday) at 1pm at the Traprock River (directions below).
Continue to RSVP to (withheld for archive)though if someone wants to come and they don't RSVP, they should still show up!
I have told MTU that in most cases, parents will hang out w/ their younger kids and that there will be some parents who only have older kids and those ones will hang out and help with the older kids project.   It all works out.
We'll plan that the tentative cost will be $3 per family, with a price reduction if we get a good turnout  (cost is $25 to be split by the families who attend).
See you there!

Next Thursday's field trip directions  (there is an attached .pdf map)

The location is right off of the Traprock Valley Road in Lake Linden.

From the South:
Follow Traprock Valley Road ~4 miles out of Lake Linden.  Go past Angmon Road on the left and then past Seivi Road on the right.  The location is only about 1/4 mile north of Sievi Road.

There is a bridge where the road crosses the river and a nice open spot between the road in the river.

Alternative route:
You can also get to this location through Kearsarge (off US41), down Mayflower Hill, turn Right on Traprock Valley Road and only ~1/2 mile to the River from that intersection.

For the kids doing the stream assessment, if you have waders (knee high are fine) or mud boots, you will want to wear them.

The younger kids project will take place in the same area.

Parking will be on the shoulder of Traprock Valley Road.
