Portage Library Offers Music and Lunch Program

The Portage Lake District Library invites everyone to bring their lunch and enjoy "Music on the Menu", an outdoor series of events to be held on the dock outside the library.

Acoustic jazz duo "Wind Shift" will perform at the first event on Friday, August 21, from noon – 1:00 p.m. Mike Irish on acoustic and electric guitar and Scott Veenstra on bass play a variety of jazz and pop standards that create a refreshing and relaxing sound. Wind Shift covers the music of Miles Davis to Stevie Wonder, Duke Ellington to Sting, and Charlie Parker to Prince. Great melodies and grooves are mixed with exciting improvisations that make the unique sound of Wind Shift.

Everyone is invited to eat, relax, and enjoy their lunch hour while listening to some great music. This program is free and open to all.
