Salsa Contest at Portage Library

If your taste buds begin to dance at the sight of tortilla chips mounded with fresh, homemade salsa, then you're in for a treat at the Portage Lake District Library. 

The Friends of the Library and Carmelita's Restaurant invite everyone to a Cinco de Mayo Salsa Contest on May 5 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. To enter the contest, simply make 8 cups of your favorite salsa and label it mild, medium, or hot. Bring it to the library before 6:00 p.m. on May 5 where it will be placed next to bowls of chips for sampling and voting by the public. The winner will receive a gift certificate to Carmelita's.

Contestants are asked to register in advance by calling the library at 482-4570. This contest is open to all, and everyone is

welcome to sample the salsas and vote for their favorite one.

SUMMER COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Registration for the summer session of Community Programs will begin Tuesday, April 27th, at 8:00 am. You may register for programs on-line at http://www.communityprograms.mtu.edu/, or you may register in person at the SDC Ticket Office. If you are taking advantage of any discounts such as TechFit, SDC Membership, or sibling discounts, you MUST register at the SDC Ticket Office. Phone reservations are not accepted. OPEN CHOIR PRACTICE 

A reminder that today at 12:30pm and 4:30pm in the chapel will be music practices for those interested in singing with University Singers for Baccalaureate and Commencement.

All Finlandia Students, Finlandia Employees and greater community adults are invited and encouraged to participate!
