"The Michigan Department of Agriculture (MDA) is working in close partnership with the Food & Drug Administration on a salmonella outbreak related to peanut butter and peanut paste made a the Peanut Corporation of America's Blakely, GA facility. This is a fluid and ongoing investigation with multiple product recalls occurring daily.

Wanted to provide you with a link for easy access to current and accurate information. For more information go to www.michigan.gov/mda <http://www.michigan.gov/mda>. Click on the "Salmonella in Michigan" spotlight. Recalls are being added daily so please check the web site updates often.

To receive recalls automatically on your e-mail sign up for MDA's "Food Recall Alerts." The link is in the green "quick link" section of the MDA salmonella web page. The web site provides basic information on salmonella, consumer advice, products not believed to be a part of the outbreak and recalled products that are believed to have distribution within Michigan."

Please pass on to inform the public.
