Beach day today

Thanks to all who came last week to Chassell!  The kids had a GREAT time.  Now we're getting northern spot for this week.  :)

1-4...rafts/boats are suggested to play pirate-y games...water guns would be fun, too.  I don't see a spot for ball games, but there's a little inlet for little ones if Lake Superior is too cold/scary.

Schoolcraft Township Park on Grand Traverse Bay, off of Rice Lake Rd., Lake Linden.  It has a playground, white sandy beaches, Juneberry trees, grills, bathrooms, lighthouse, mink farm--it has it all (short on shade, though).

DIRECTIONS:  Schoolcraft Township Park, Lake Linden:  Once you get to Lake Linden go through it to the end, where there is a blinking light (left would take you to Calumet).  You will turn right before the light by DeMars party store onto Bootjack Road.  Take it a couple of miles until you reach Rice Lake Road.  Turn left on it (only choice) and take it to it's end.  You'll end at Lake Superior.  Turn right and the park is right there.
