Memorial Service for David Gockenbach

Many people have been inquiring about the arrangements for the services for David on Monday. Everything will take place at Evangel Baptist Church on College Avenue in Houghton.  Visitation will begin at 2 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 4pm. 
The family appreciates all the prayer and support given them.

David Gockenbach

At 8:44pm tonight, David entered eternal life..  He's home, safe and secure in the Father's arms.  We miss him already, but are so glad that his suffereing is over.  He's been thru more in his 11 yrs than most of us will ever go thru.  Yet how full of joy he was and such a blessing to so many.  His mission is accomplished, his crown awaits.

Many of us are aware that Joan and Mark's (withheld for archive) son, David,  has been battling cancer.  David is losing that battle.  He is in hospice and is expected to be going to the Lord very soon.  A few of the ladies from the (withheld for archive)'s  church are organizing the funeral luncheon. They are asking people in the home schooling community if they would be willing to donate any of  the following items.  There is no date/time for the luncheon yet but these items could be dropped off at Evangel Baptist Church.  If you are able to donate something on the list, please email us here at <CCHEUpdates.gmail.com>

1.6 lbs of regular coffee
1.6 lbs of decaf coffee
3 - 70 oz. containers of salsa
8- 16oz jars of salsa verde (green salsa)

Thank you. The (withheld for archive) family has been a part of the homeschooling community for many years.  I know that your thoughts and prayers mean a lot to them at this time.  When there is any more news,  I will send out an update.
